The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his team of seven, has pulled out of the campaign of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the early hours of Wednesday, September 21.
There has been a lingering loggerhead between Wike’s camp and the party’s national chairman, Iyorcha Ayu, because of his refusal to resign.
Ayu has blatantly refused after being asked to step down and allow the party’s acting chairman to replace him.
To this effect, the Rivers State Governor and his team has vowed not to participate in campaigning for the party’s presidential flagbearer for the 2023 election.
