The governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, has revealed that 100% of the unknown gunmen in the southeast are Igbos.
The governor made this known during an interview with Channels TV.
According to him, Anambra houses more people than any southeast State, and people from other parts of Nigeria who live in the southeast stay in Anambra.
Soludo said that the first set of unknown gunmen caught in Anambra State were 100% Igbos, but were not from Anambra.
However, he also noted that it was discovered that a good number of Anambra youths abducted into the bush got indoctrinated and initiated into the act.
Governor Soludo has warned that anybody caught in the bush with guns will be treated like a criminal without objections.
“They are known. They are not unknown criminals. They came from homes. They have parents. They have relations. They have people from their villages, and so on and so forth”, he said.
While commending the efforts of citizens who help to curb insecurity in the state by providing good information, he declared that there is no space in Anambra State for criminals.
