In an attempt to rescue his cow, 18 year old Adamu Musa drowned in Unguwar Magina in Buji Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

According to reports from DAILY POST, the deceased lost his life on Saturday evening while trying to rescue his cow from a pond, after it slipped while grazing.

The NSCDC spokesman while confirming the report, said that the young man took two of his two cows to the farm to feed them on Saturday, September 3 at about 2pm, and one of the cows slipped and fell into a pond close to the grazing area.

However, Adamu sighted this and rushed to rescue his cow but was unfortunately drowned despite the efforts of the locals and NSCDC personnel to rescue him.

Meanwhile, the cow was rescued, and the deceased body later found around 1:00 am.

The body was handed over to his parents for proper burial, after being examined and confirmed dead.
