Strike: ASUU Rejects Court Order, Accuses FG Of Not Following Due Process

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has rejected the order given by the court to resume academic activities.

The counsel to the defendant, Mr Femi Falana had earlier argued that the Federal Government did not follow due process by going through the Industrial Arbitration Panel (IAP) first.

Moreover, calling off the seven months old strike means foregoing seven months salary of the university lecturers.

As a result, the union has blatantly rejected the court order to call off the strike.
