Amidst the ASUU strike, a student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, has welcomed quintuplets at Federal Medical Center Umuahia.
Miss Oluomachi Linda Nwojo, who hails from Abriba in Ohafia LGA, welcomed the babies at about 9:02pm on Monday, October 3, Satellite reports.
The quintuplets which consist of two boys and three girls are said to be the first set of quintuplets to be delivered at the medical center.
As shared by the overjoyed father of the babies, Prince Krux, on Facebook, he said:
Congratulations to us. My wife delivered a beautiful baby girl.
While in the FMC postnatal ward at about 9:02pm On 03/10/2023 Monday night
A woman delivered Quintuplets 5Babies; 3Girls and 2Boys.. The baby boys are at FMC Inborn, while 3Girls are in postnatal unit with their mother..
This is an invitation to every good Nigerian, Abians.”
The media aide to NANA/OFUJI campaign organization, Godwin Asiegbu noted that the political party, YPP, cleared the hospital bills.
“In the early hours of today a young man named Prince Krux from Ikwuano L. G. A whose wife delivered a bouncing baby girl at FMC Umuahia wrote on his facebook handle on the news of first QUINTUPLET in FMC Umuahia by one Miss Oluomachi Linda Nwojo from Abiriba in Ohafia L. G. A whose mother Mrs Priscilla Nwojo was available to speak with the YPP Team on behalf of the daughter who is currently in an unstable state trying to regain strength at the moment.
It was confirmed that the quintuplets are three females and two males, the females are strong while the two male are currently in incubator”, Asiegbu said.
