The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has reacted with shock over the demise of the Labour Party Kaduna Zonal Chairman.

Mallam Lawal Garba was announced dead some few hours after the party held a stakeholder meeting in Kaduna.

In his condolence message, Peter Obi said: “He was a great party leader, a great guide and adviser to the Labour Party in the planning and prosecution of the Presidential Campaigns.”

In a Twitter post, he said:

“I’m shocked by the news of the sudden and tragic death of Mallam Lawal Garba last night in a fatal vehicular accident. Mallam Garba was in attendance at the Arewa House interactive session. His death is a huge loss to his family, the Labour Party family in Kaduna State and the Kaduna people. I pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and that God Almighty will grant his family the fortitude to bear this huge loss.-PO”
