Presidential Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a new Managing Director of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company (NSPMC) in the person of Ahmed Halilu.

This comes few months after the former managing director of NSPMC, Abbas Masanawa resigned.
The new appointee, Halilu, is elder brother to the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari.
His appointment by the president is said to have been highly influenced by a recommendation by the governor of the Central Bank of Nigerian, Godwin Emefiele.
Ahmed Halilu, whose profile is seen as deserving, has been in the banking sector for decades, in addition to his befitting educational background and experiences.
