Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has listed at least six projects to be unveiled by his administration between the first week to May 14 as he is set to bow out of office May 29.

The projects include, new Government House Umuahia, the multi-specialist hospital Aba, Mgbarakuma Road Umuahia South, new garment factory, diagnostic hospital Isiukwuato and the new permanent site of the Abia State College of Health & Sciences.

The governor who stated these while featuring on ABN TV’s Political Perspective said despite the memories of the 2023 elections in which his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lost both the governorship and senatorial elections, his zeal to serve the people of Abia State has not changed.According to the governor, till his contract with the people of Abia State which he said started in May 2015 and graciously renewed in 2019 comes to end on May 29, he will not stop to give his best for the state.“We have quickly put the events of the 2023 elections behind us, these are mere rituals. Some of us are not election politicians. We will like to addressed as trans-generational leaders.“We speak to issues beyond elections, elections will come and go and the outcome has nothing to do with my zeal and contract with Ndi Abia”, he stated.
