The Federal High court Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to list Godswill Akpabio, former governor of Akwa Ibom State, as the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Akwa Ibom North/West Senatorial District.
The court gave this order during the preceding in Abuja on Thursday, September 15, noting that it was wrong of INEC not to have recognized Akpabio as the senatorial candidate.
However, Justice Emeka Nwite has further added that it will be illegal for INEC not to accept and enlist Akpabio as the APC senatorial candidate.
