ASUU STRIKE: Anxiety As ASUU Denies Calling Off Strike, Places Conditions for Suspension

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities had denied Calling Off it’s 8 Months Strike as reported in several quarters, the Union said it will today release Memo after a Press Conference on wether the Union will Suspend the 8 Months Strike or not.

 

Following the Meeting of the National Executive Council of the Union which lasted From Thursday night to the early hours of Friday, there are strong indications that the Strike will be Suspended.

 

However, the Suspension of the 8 Months Strike will be coming with Conditions as said by one of the ASUU Members. In a Telephone Chat with a Member of ASUU-NEC, the Strike will be suspended with conditions which will be detailed in the Official Memo of the Union soon to be released by the President.

 

“My President will address the issue, we did not call off the strike, we only moved for suspension but with Conditions and those conditions will be made public by the President soon” the ASUU Member Said
