Abductors Of Imo Monarch and Businessman Demands 200M Ransom

The abductors of Eze Joel Ndenkwo, a renowned businessman and traditional ruler of Isiala-Umudi autonomous community in Imo state have demanded 200 million Naira as ransom for his release.

Udenkwo was kidnapped on Friday, September 9, in front of his office at Tetlow road, Owerri, Imo state.The kidnappers forced him into the trunk of their vehicle around 7pm, and zoomed off.

However, on Sunday, the kidnappers called one of the siblings of the monarch for the first time, and demanded a huge amount of 200 million.According to a source, the kidnappers called Eze Udenkwo’s phone, and asked the family to provide the money on Monday as a condition for his release.

Investigations are on as assured by the Police spokesperson for the command, Michael Abattam.
